I left Afghanistan when I was 13 years old. The journey of escaping my country took us 3 nights and four days using donkey as our transportation. With a small amount of food and drinking the dirty water we got to Peshawar Pakistan which later moved to the capital city 'Islamabad' and lived for three years.
After 27 years living abroad and dreaming of my country, I found a chance to pay a visit to my destroyed homeland and see my family and relatives. Honestly I did not recognize my own country as it has been changed so much and has become so crowded. Most refugees from the neighboring countries have come back and reside in the capital which has doubled or tripled the population of the city with more cars than the roads and streets.
There are no infrastructures, security, and well-governance in the country despite millions of dollars have purred in the country and existence of thousands of international troops but they could not bring peace and security in the country.
People still live in fear has the poverty and joblessness grow in the country. Due to the high volume of people emerging into the city, the weather has become very polluted but there is no one really to take action for improvement. Meanwhile, since the occupation of my country by the US, it has become very expensive to live in Afghanistan particularly Kabul and cost of living is keep growing. Life is still very hard in Afghanistan and I am very sad since I came back home from what I have seen. I hope and pray that everything gets easy and my people live in peace soon.
