Afghanistan Religion is Islam and Islam is the second most popular and fast growing religion of the world with over 1.5 billion adherents.

Sunni Muslims 80%

The population of Muslims in America is believed to be around 10 millions. Since post 9/11, the religion of Islam has been widely under attack by Western media. There are five Pillars in Islam which are the foundation of Muslim's life.

1- Shahadah:(Statement of belief)

Faith or belief in the Oneness of God and the finality of the prophet hood of Muhammad (Peace Blessing Upon Him) and other prophets before him.

2- Prayer-Namaz: Establishment of the daily prayers;

3- Fasting-Ruza: Self-purification through fasting;

4- Charity-Zakat: (Charity) Concern for others and almsgiving to the needy;

5- Pilgrimage-Hajj: The pilgrimage to Makkah for those who can afford the cost and able to perform the rituals.
