Afghanistan Major Cities are those with more population. There are several main cities in Afghanistan and I will name here the thirteen largest cities of Afghanistan which every city or province has a strategic role in Afghanistan government’s administration.

KabulIs the capital and the largest province of Afghanistan with the estimated population of 3.000.000 people.
HeratIs considered as another largest province with the estimated population of 349,000 people.
KandaharIs located a largest city in the south with the estimated population of 324,800 people.
Mazari SharifIs the capital of Balkh province located in the north with the estimated population of 300,600 people.
Kunduz Is an other northern province with the estimated population of 264,100 people.
Pul-e-Khumri Is The capital of Baghlan, a northern province of Afghanistan with the estimated population of 180,800 people.
Jalalabad Is an other largest cities which has close border with Pakistan and the estimated population of the province is 168,600 people.
CharikarIs the capital of Parwan, Kabul's neighbor province with the estimated population of 153,500 people.
Sheberghan Is one of the northern provinces which has close border with Turkmenistan and the estimated population is 143,900 people.
Ghazni Is an other close city and Kabul's neighbor province with the estimated population of 141,000 people.
BamyanBamyan is one of famous cities with great view of Buddah Statues and the estimated population of the province is 387,300 people.
Taluqan which can be spelled as Talokan or Taluqan is the capital of Takhar province with the 2006 estimated population of 196,400 people.
